PIP won't turn off

Hi Folks! I have an old Sony Trinitron KV-35V35 with PIP that no longer has the original remote - we're now using an RCA universal. The problem is this: Somehow the PIP got turned on, and now the remote won't turn it off (the remote works fine otherwise - tv turns on and off, channels/volume work, etc.). Is there any way I can get the PIP to turn off without the benefit of the remote? Thanks!

I pressed "Demo" on the front of my TV and it worked, I have an old Sony KP-53XBR35 VIDEOSCOPE XBR - no original remote and the Universal remote has PIP button but would not shut it off.
Finally it's off!!!!

Specifically on Sony TV model KP-53XBR35 VideoScope XBR, if after you press the PiP button, the screen becomes stuck on a dual screen with one side fuzzy, simply press the DEMO button located on the front of your device, behind a panel that you push in to open. I hope you found this helpful.

Push the set up button on the front of the tv and the tv mode and it will turn off.

I did try this and it went off for about 10 seconds (if that) and then came right back on. Tried turning off the tv and then, holding the volume button down to cut down volume while powering up the set and that did absolutely nothing at all.
