Calypso kenmore elite water level low sometimes

Hi,

My Kenmore Elite water softner won't allow me to adjust salt level anymore. I filled up to level 7, then tried to add salt level nothing happen. I tried to push the minus sign to see if it works, nothing. What should i do? Now i have flashing light indicates low salt level eventhough the tank is full.

The FL error code means:
Flood Condition:
FL flashes if any overfill condition occurs. This condition occurs when excessive water in the tub causes the overfill switch to trip. The control must realize that the trip was due to an overfill condition instead of a suds lack condition in order for FL to be displayed

With an overfill condition, the beeper repeats a warning every 10 seconds with no time-out. The pump is cycled in drain mode for 30 seconds on, 30 seconds off until the overfill switch resets or power is discontinued to the unit.

Press STOP/CANCEL to clear the display.

This problem I see on these are the water pumps getting clogged with lint or other things, causing the pump not to pump all of the water out at times.

There is a check "valve" in the drain assembly that seems to sometimes cause problems with the FL error code. You can remove this piece, and might avoid changing the pump.

needs a pump.theres an upgrade on the pump

The pressure switch is mis-reporting the water level to the ECU.

Test/replace the pressure switch.

what is the error code ob

calyso is a low water use machine similar to front loads only enough water enters machine to get clothes soaking wet water is recirculated through tube on back right corner of tub to insure clothes are soaked if pressure switch determines minum water level not reached it will add more

i assume that the warer is turn on at the warer valves if so then do you have voltage at the water valve if not then water pressure switch could be bad or main control board could be bad

This could just be a fluke, or you could have a possible bad pressure switch that is not shutting off the water supply correctly. In addition, fill valves have been known to short out causing water to constantly fill in the wash tub. Lastly, your household water pressure could be too low and won't shut the fill valves off properly. Inlet water pressure should be a minimum of 10-20 psi. With an overfill condition, the beeper repeats a warning every 10 seconds with no time-out. The pump is cycled in drain mode for 30 seconds on, 30 seconds off until the overfill switch resets or power is discontinued to the unit. Press STOP/CANCEL to clear the display.
