Dial turning for cycle but the drum will not spin

Hi there, My washing machine has just stopped working on me, The dial clicks around pretty fast through the cycle, but the drum will not turn. It worked fine the day before. Frigidaire Front Load washer (25 yrs old) fills completely but does not spin for the wash cycle. Manual timer clicks and buzzes but drum does not spin nor does the timer advance.

Sure sounds like your timer has bit the dust. I'm not sure if the timer is still available. You have a great washer there. Good luck.

Splendide 2000S Washer/dryer won't wash/dry. Noise then stops, then dial clicks around endlessly.

sounds very much like the bearing has seized on the drum.
can you turn it by hand?
I'm betting it's either stuck or REALLY stiff

Hello The washing machine is not going through

The lid switch has failed. It will not spin because it is a safety device.

Unit runs good through wash cycle then while in rinse and spin does not complete cycle. The machine starts doing a short spin, and then dial starts turning around without stopping.

Sounds as if the drain pump is not ejecting the water fast enough. Did you notice of the washer is draining more slowly than usual or at all?

Malber WD1000 won't hi-speed spin

check if the drum assembly is loose, but it seems like one of the mounting arms or shocks broke.

Hi! I have an Indesit W84TX washing machine. Lately, it has stopped working every time it reaches the rinse cycle. It seems to rinse and drain just one time before the process stops and the settings dial...

Actually, while the settings dial spins, there is also a kind of grinding/clicking sound from down where the drain port is. I checked it and there is no filter there when I open it.

No reset. Carbon brushes are worrn out. Consider changing the bearings while you have the motor apart. Se http://www.nettoparts.co.uk/shop/frontpage.html for spares.
