Unplug machine. Pull off retainer clip from the front , with both hands inside push up the seal untill its free. Then with the new seal apply washing up liquid to the gap on the seal. And fit this is fiddly. Then pull the spring you removed to loosen abit and with a screw driver to keep it in place throught the door lock thats why youve unpluged it. strech the spring around. the ease on the front part of the seal and replace the clip. put on a wool wash to check for leaks. appliance doctor

Zanussi washing machine door seal metal wire ring has come off, how do I put it back?

To put back the metal wire ring on the door seal of your Zanussi washing machine, you can follow these steps:

Ensure safety: Before starting any repair work, make sure the washing machine is unplugged from the power source to avoid any accidents.

Locate the groove: Examine the door seal and locate the groove where the metal wire ring needs to be inserted. The wire ring typically fits into a groove on the inner edge of the seal.

Position the wire ring: Take the wire ring and position it in your hands so that it forms a complete circle. Make sure the ends of the wire are close together.

Start at the top: Begin by inserting one end of the wire ring into the groove at the top of the door seal. Apply gentle pressure and work your way around, pushing the wire into the groove.

Use your fingers or pliers: Depending on the size and tightness of the wire ring, you may be able to push it into the groove using your fingers. If it's difficult to do so, you can carefully use a pair of pliers to assist you. Be cautious not to damage the wire or the door seal during this process.

Continue around the seal: Slowly and steadily work your way around the door seal, pushing the wire ring into the groove. Take your time to ensure that the wire is securely in place and properly seated within the groove.

Double-check the installation: Once you've inserted the entire wire ring into the groove, double-check that it is evenly positioned and properly seated. Ensure that it's securely holding the door seal in place.

Disconnect all power to the machine first!!

1 Locate the outer clamp band securing the seal to the door rim on the washing machine and examine it carefully for holes or tears. Many can be prised off with a flat-bladed screwdriver they have a spring system holding them, but some have a tensioning arrangement that has to be loosened.
2 After removing the outer clamp band, locate the inner one securing the seal to the drum and establish how this is secured. It may be necessary to loosen a clip, or you may be able to prise the band off with a flat-bladed screwdriver. Some are like very large Jubilee clips that you have to undo usually from the top.
3 Once the clamp bands have been removed, use both hands to pull the seal away from the inner drum rim. Some machines have a water spout holes that will have to be lined up. Others have a drain holes.
4 Rubbing a drop of washing up liquid into the groove on the door seal/gasket that locates on the drum makes fitting the new seal easier.
5 the new washing machine door seal should be fitted by locating the drain holes at the bottom of the seal first then push it on with both hands working opposite directions towards the top. This is quite hard if you have never done it before.
6 refit the inner band remembering this must be tensioned correctly for it to be water tight.
7 now fit the outer band and the test the machine for any leaks,

Zanussi washing machine.

switch off
remove plastic clamp that holds seal to cabinet and peel seal off cabinet.
the inside of the seal is held onto the tub with a circular spring. push seal down (needs a bit of force), pull outwards and seal will come away from tub.

lubricate the slot in the seal that fits onto the rim of the tub with washing up fluid.
starting at the top, push the first little bit of the slot in the seal onto the rim of the tub.#
working in both directions, push the slot onto the rim until completely on. this is a knack so be patient.
the circular spring fits into a slot on the outside of the seal. this is quite difficult to get into place and extra pair of hands will help.
fit seal onto cabinet - this is easy - and refit plastic clamp
test for leaks on wash cycle as water level is higher
