Hi, According to the manual, my Vivitar DVR-310 is compatible with Windows only but I use a Mac. Is there a solution? Cheers

Many thanks chessmater2 for your input. I should have precized that I only want to use the camera, at least for the time being, and according to the user's manual, if I want to get the pics on to my computer, a Mac won't do. I feel a bit stuck, especially as I'm not technically savvy...

Very simple. remove the card, and copy the pics from it into a photo editting program. or just connect the usb device to a usb port to download them.. part of manual is for using the software, part for the explaing it's operation of the hardware. as for mac software, contact vivitar for the proper software from here. i may be mistaken, but i think it's just going to be editting software, nothing to working the camera itself.

Which model of Lorex DVR are you using? Currently, only some of our security DVRs are compatible with Mac OS X (via Safari). Our line of Edge and EDGE+ DVRs (LH300 Series) are Mac compatible and offer full remote viewing, playback, backup, and setup using Safari.

DVR 518 question regarding sd card compatibility;- will the product accept a SDHC card to 8gb I have difficulty in getting a standard SD card

Hi,

The manual is not very precise but you cannot get normal SD cards that go to up 8gb, the highest is 2gb.

When they say 8gb they must mean SDHC.

Hope this helps.
