Question about Kenmore 65812

Kenmore Refrigerator 65812

We purchased this frig in July. In November it wasn't freezing. It was replaced under warranty on Dec 22. That one wouldn't freeze either. It was replaced Jan 19th under warranty. As of this morning, the pre-packaged ice-pops are still mushy. Is this just a bad line or what? The repairman said both units had cracked liners that allowed the freon (?) to escape and they were not repairable. Anyone else have problems with this model?

Camp, see if your model starts with 106.65812, Serial beginning with EP or ER. If so it may be the air tower. They had a service flash out on this line but the closest I can get to your model number is 106.65824. E-mail me at [email protected] with the complete model and serial and I will see if I can help you. If your model doesn't start with 106, repost with the correct one. Catriver.

Kenmore side by side freezer not freezing

I have had that problem when my Kenmore frig was surrounded by too much stuff that prevented air flow to the coils. It was also a problem when I had it on carpeting. I put a wood panel underneath the whole frig and cleared away all the clutter.

Kenmore 795 continually blowing cold air into frig

If the control will not change and the lock is lit, first try unlocking it. Press and hold the lock tab for 3 seconds. If nothing happens, try unplugging the power cord for 30 seconds and reconnect it. This will reset the board.

Kenmore Refrig Model # 75922400 top Freezer. Freezer is freezing really good but frig is around 46 - 48 degrees at coldest setting. We discovered ice on vents in freezer and thawed them out with hair...

Sounds like a defrost failure.
Look on the back wall of the freezer from the inside.
If it is covered in ice your defrost system has failed.
Also check the fan motor in the freezer.
If it is not running it must be replaced.

Ice cube maker not working. digital display not

The ice fan is frozen. It is located behind the rear panel inside the freezer2.gif drawer. I had the same problem with an LG refrigerator in November 2008 that was fixed under warranty. (There is a Kenmore model that is made by LG.) They replaced the fan and housing, and the panel duct assembly (both because a design revision provided a way to drain the water that was freezing the fan), and the main controller board (presumably because there was a new defrost program, but also because of the Energy Star settlement.) If your refrigerator is out of warranty, you can remove the freezer drawer to get at the panel behind it. Remove and defrost the fan housing. Drill some small holes in the bottom of the fan housing for drainage. Put it back together and see if that solves the problem.

Not cooling - part replaced 2X - happening again

Yeah, buy a Kenmore next time. I have one of these JUNK Maytags and less than 5 years the compressor is shot. The 15 year old Kenmore in the garage that has never had the coils cleaned is still going STRONG.

Freezing on the refrigerator side even if I lower frig side to 1

you can check to see if the mmotorized damper on the refrigerator is functional by turning it off and checking if the air flow stops and the on and airflow increases. iT MAY BE BINDING UP ON YOU.
