Printer malfunction. Cannot pull ink carrier to middle as the directions from Lexmark say to do. Jammed. I thought I found a way to enter the case but cant find that now, how do I fix this or don't I bother?
Is it making clunking noises when it tries to pull the ink cartridges to the middle? Or grinding noises?

I had an old lexmark and an old canon that did this type of thing...fly it and get a new one...even if you could get that spring back where it's supposed to go, the alignment of the print heads will be messed up forever...Sorry to say, just take it out back and shoot it. It's also likely that there was a plastic "retainer" that held the belt on which slides the cartridges back and forth...this part often breaks and again...useless.

problem could be due to a communication failure between one of the printheads
(cartridges) and the All-In One (AIO) or by a short in one if the printheads. Please follow the steps

No it just doesn't move, but I opened the cae and freed it up, now I have a spring I can't replace
