Question about GE Profile Harmony WPGT9360E 4.0 Cu. Ft. King-Size Washer with Stainless Steel Basket

"NOTICE A PROBLEM HAS BEEN DETECTED WITH THIS UNIT"

The above error is present when i turn my washer on. it is a GE model WPGT9350GC1WW. Is there a way to diagnose the problem? How do i get this into factory test mode? How do i resolve the problem. The message will not go away even with a 24 hour long hard power reset. None of the buttons will work.

    I have the same problem with a model # wpgt9360e0ww. I followed the advise given and the following problems were listed:

    There is a problem with the touchscreen.

    Basket not slowing down properly. Check the brake
    (resistor) and motor for proper operation.

    Just finished a load and the washer was beeping with the "Notice - an problem has been detected with this unit". I will try and reset using the 2 buttons suggested. If that does not work, what could it be?

DW, Press the power key to turn the washer on. If the washer is on and the Home screen is displayed, press help. If the home screen is not displayed press home then help. Then press my cycles and back together for 3 seconds. The control will display any recorded errors. A more icon will appear in the display if more than one error was recorded. Press the more icon to list any additional errors. Use the back keypad to scroll through them. Make note of all errors and post back. We'll try to help you with the problem. Catriver

Like to thank catriver in how to enter "Service Mode Diagnostics"

Problem found......

The motor is not ratating proberly.
Check and Replace if necessary.

I'll do some more research on how to check.

Local independant repair man was just here, I had a notice a problem has been detected..... He punched in something and it was working, I ask him for the code he said he was not authorized to give it to me. (works for himself) I tried your method and it worked, it will save me from waiting 4 days for this service man, so he can push a few buttons and start my dryer. Thanks for your considerate help. The Harmony washer electronics can automatically determine if problems exist with the machine. Sometimes an error code can also be present because of things the machine cannot control: like changes in house voltage, water pressure, or temperature.

"A problem has been detected with this unit" will be displayed on the screen.

The most common solution for this message is to turn the machine OFF and then ON. However, this message will sometimes cause the control to stop the machine from working. With this type of error, the control panel will need to be reset. The following steps will allow you to reset your control.

Won't continue cycle the message is ''Notice'' a problem has been detected with this unit.

Press and hold the my cycles button and the back button simultaneously for 3 seconds. This will reset the control panel and let you see any stored errors.

Notice a problem has detected with this unit

If the home screen is not displayed press home then help. Then press my cycles and back together for 3 seconds.  Read what its says and then turn the power off then back on. It should be ready to go!

Stuck on "problem detected" screen

Press the Back Button and the Heart (My Cycles) buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds or more. This will reset the screeen. Diagnostics will then run. Let it run through the diagnostics on the screen and then the washer can be used.
