Motorola Mobility RAZR V3 Logo

Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3

1 Answer

Memory card The memory card was working fine. It worked in both my Verizon razr V3 phones, and it worked with the adaptor in the card slot as an extra drive on my desktop. Then I put the memory card with the adaptor into my digital camera and it worked fine there. (But I think I interfered with the formatting somehow, maybe the digital camera reformated the card.) Now both phones work fine without the card. The card works fine in with the adaptor and the desktop and the digital camera. But when I install the card into either phone, the phone just displays the verizon logo on a black backround and doesn't otherwise work. Do you know the problem? Do you know how to fix it? Or, do you know how to format a memory card using a desktop? Thanks

I have a memory card for my Motorola v3 razr and it has always worked fine and now i cannot acess my "storage device" or card and whenever i try it freezes the phone. what can i do to fix this

Hello,

It looks like your memory card has developed errors.
To fix that problem, you need to format your memory card to correct the errors.

How ever, formatting your memory card will loose all the data in it.

Razr v3r

Hi folks - I took apart and totally destroyed my Verizon branded RAZR V3m. There is NO SIM card. Instead, there is a memory chip hard wired to the circuit board. From what I saw, this memory chip is preprogrammed with the phone number and carrier features. The card picture referred to above is for the micro SD card. This card is just for additional memory - for pics, video, and music, dependent on the carrier. I also went to the Motorola web site. They're unlocked RAZR V3's have a SIM slot underneath the battery. Bottom Line? If your RAZR V3 doesn't have a SIM card slot under the battery, forget it. You can not change carriers.

Where do you put the Micro SD card in a Motorola V3 Phone.

It depends on your carrier or phone model.

Verizon Wireless still uses the CDMA network. CDMA gets the phone user ID from a programmed chip hardwired to the phone instead of a SIM card.

Because of this, there is room underneath the battery cover, south of the battery on the right side of the compartment for a mini-SD card.

Other carriers such as T-Mobile, Cingular/AT&T DO use SIM cards to store user ID, so there is not room for a memory card.

I do know that the MotoRazr2 V9 from AT&T DOES accept Micro-SD cards.

But if you have a GSM carrier such as T-Mobile or AT&T, the Razr V3 does not have a card slot.

Memory Card Issues

As other Hard Drives memory card has also it's MBR. Your MMC is seems corrupt in it's file system. Just format it in computer using FAT file system and it will work again OK. Frequently on and off leads it's file system towards corruption. When it will be fine it will co-operat your phone. Don't forget to take back-up before formatting.

Putting media on my Verizon RAZR V3c phone

get motorola phone tools. MPT is free in all kinds of places online, and you can put about 30MB of music on a stock v3c(though, it limits your text and sms space.

Removing the Chip

If it really is a sim chip, then I don't know. I know about Verizon razr, which doesn't use a sim card. However Verizon razr has a memory card, which people might mistakenly refer to as sim chip, that stores photos and music. It doesn't come with the phone, so if you purchased the phone you'd know whether or not you have one. If your phone is like the Verizon razr, then remove the battery cover and the battery. The memory card, if it is installed, is just to your right (when looking into the back) of the vertical center. It's about the size of a finger nail. Use your thumbnail to pull it (towards the top of the phone) out of the slot. Then insert the card into the adapter card that came in the package when you purchased the memory card, and put the adapter card into the smart reader slot in your printer or pc.
