I gotta RCA Scenium HDTV big screen and about 5 months ago i unplugged it to move it to another room and then i tried to use it and everything was saying weak signal and it was a black screen.
But all the menu options work, but cable, or any rca input would not show a picture and the sound would come for 2 seconds then go then repeat.
Some guy told me to unplug it for 10 mins and try it again, sure enough it worked.
So couple days ago i had to unplug it again and now when i try to use it to watch my dvd or anything, its saying weak signal again.
Whats weird is, my XBOX 360 is still working fine, maybe cause its HD ????
PLEASE HELP- I cant find any help and i need my Tv back.
I got the same problem and unplugging fixed it but I just want to add that only my 4 REGULAR Video inputs (Vid1 to Vid3 + Front) are affected. The Component input, using 3 cables for Video input is not affected by this problem.
Hey! I have the same problem as you. But! this would happen only when I got a power outage. Unplug the TV for a couple of minutesand all was fine. For the last 5 day I have no TV. I have tried everything. All the out on the TV and I still get unusable signal. My rep told me to unplug for 24 Hours. Still didn't work. My menu option work as well and every time I put the TV on, off or if I change the input sound will come on for 2 seconde and stop. If I find the salution I will let you know.

You may have a failig tuner, can you get me a pic of the screen? Does it have a analog tuner or digital or both? If its an analog tuner I wouldnt worry about because after february of next year all over air signals will be digital.
I cannot think of anything easy that would cause the symtoms you are describing. Your power supply is working and the deflection bd is good because you have HV. The problem is signal related and all of this circuitry is on the SSB or small signal bd. The difficult thing is when replacing this bd. you must have RCA's chipper check to download all of the ssb eeprom settings so they can be uploaded to the new ssb. I'm affraid you will need a qualifier RCA service tech for this problem.
The channel guide is a service just like closed caption. Rumer has it that it's not going to be around for much longer. The only fix is to unplug set ..wait awhile till memory loss occurs...plug back up and do a setup. Nothing in the TV will cause partial guide. Weak signal could and cause fuzzy picture too. Complain to cable company. But brightness problem is something else.
