Whirlpool GH518XP microwave hood combination Power off, wont come on at all

My microwave oven just turned completely off. No power whatsoever. So I thought it might be the outlet that it was plugged into. Nope! I used another outlet with an extension cord. Still no power at all. It is only 2 years old? What is going on? Please Help!

There are several parts which can cause the unit to be dead, mainly the fuse, thermostat, thermal cutout, or control panel. You can find critical safety info and disassembly tips ay my site via my listing here: http://tinyurl.com/yzjozk You can get handy exploded views and order any neededparts here: http://tinyurl.com/gv383 Not sure about that model number though - you might want to verify that.

Whirlpool microwave turns on, but the turn table wont turn and wont heat; what do I do?

Sorry to read about your problem.
It seems your have a general failure in the power control or switch failure on the unit. if your unit has power, and things lite. it is more likely you have a control/switch problem,

Microwaves must be serviced by technicians due to the inherent dangers involved in repairing these appliances. Internal capacitors can retain a lethal electrical charge even though the unit is completely unplugged. A microwave radiation leakage test must be performed on the unit following any internal component repair.

The range-top light blew and now replacement bulbs

My Whirlpool/Roper microwave/hood combo has the same problem. I replaced the bulb twice, checked the bulb and it works, but not in the microwave. I wrote to Whirlpool asking about the problem. Haven't heard from them yet.

Sounds like it got hit with a power spike which could have burned out the low voltage components, (Control panel). How's your insurance coverage?

After changing a blown oven light, the clock works but nothing else turns on, including the fan, light, microwave

This light failure often occurs when a bulb goes out and the filament shorts, or when the bulbs are removed or installed without first unplugging the oven from the power line. Either can cause such a failure on the controller.

This can often also affect the exhaust fan operation, too. The lights and fan can be inoperable or stuck on too.
