It maybe the spool settings are incorrect. You can easily uninstal the printer to set back to factory default, by uninstalling in add/remove software and disconnecting printer from usb port.(It may say documents are pending, ignore and delete) Download driver from here if you have lost installation disc. http://esupport.epson-europe.com/FileDownload.aspx?lng=en-GB&ID=27566&data=237EA0F2CDB90E9EFC108A9D38B0E2A2E601901E3494AEE9FAF7F774D281BE84 Install driver then re connect printer when prompted or after installation has completed. Try again and hopefully it should print first time.

After cleaning the printhead, when asked to print, the carriage moves to the left and the printer turns off.

Hi

Head cleaning is mechanical process, printing is electrical process. If nothing at all ink out/spray from head in printing process, problem with electricity. Damage board or short circuit at head cable. Check board first, may be some component "burn". It is suggested to contacted Epson customer support before further damage occurs.

Please check this bellow tutorial for more details of print head cleaning:-

However check the link bellow for the user guide to your printer, kindly go through it where it gives detailed instructions of various problems along with cleaning of printhead, may be you have performed something wrong to assemble/install the printer after cleaning the print head or some connection problem.
