Codec crashes-version1.7

Perform the following tasks::
  • Scan system for virus
  • Scan system for registry errors
  • Update the graphics that control your PC
  • Download & install the latest version of codec.
I would recommend to use a system utility tool like Reginout to fix windows errors that causes crashes & freezing.

My xbox keeps freezing when I play my games then sometimes I get an E 71 error??? what do i need to do?

E71: Dashboard Error - Error within Xam.xex
Try resetting the console - Clear All Installed Game Updates and Console Cache
  1. Go to the "system" blade
  2. Select "memory"
  3. Press Y on the HD symbol
  4. Press X,X, Left Bumper, Right Bumper, X,X
  5. A message will appear saying: "Do you want to perform maintenance on your Xbox 360 storage devices?"
  6. Select Yes
Clear Any Failed system updates that cause the console to error.
  1. With the console off, press and hold the sync up button (the small white one)
  2. While holding the sync button press the power button to turn on the console
  3. Continue to hold the sync button until the Console has booted up completely.
  4. During the boot process the console should clear any failed updates, allowing you to use it normally.
If that doesn't fix it, you'll need to set up a repair with MS.

Wheni used my power dvd to show somthing it dosnt work and showed me following error:80040265

Your media power player does not support the media formats you played.

Download the codec K-Lite Mega Codec Pack or K-Lite Codec Pack from http://www.free-codecs.com/index.htm & install the codec & you should be able to play the media on your Windows OS.

Hope it helps.

I cant able to open a video file. it shows a codec error.

Most probably "Codecs" us not install on your system, so you cannot open the Video/Audio file to play on you media player.

Install the codec "K-Lite Codec Pack or K-Lite Mega Codec Pack" latest version from http://www.free-codecs.com/. for your operating system.

Hope it helps.

''Error 1706''

My colleague says that when Error 1706 occurs during an attempt to install an MSI file from removable media, the first thing you should try to do is check the Media Package Pathway and determine if the pathway does in fact track to the right folder. If it does not, scan the removable media and locate the file where the MSI file is housed. In some cases, you may find that the MSI file is found in a folder that is named App1. Once you have determined where to find the right file, it is a matter of resetting the Media Package Pathway so that the system will find and activate the MSI file. This will require you to make some changes to the command line or possibly make a permanent change in the registry.
It is important to note that making changes in the command line and especially in the registry are functions that someone who is familiar with writing code and general information system functions should perform.
If you are not knowledgeable about these sorts of functions, there is every possibility that the modification will not result in resolving the issue regarding the MSI file. Further, the change may create additional problems with the media package.

Try to use the Registry cleaner software e.g.

Registry Cleaner or RegCure

these two softwares should help you to remove the unwanted registry entry which are raising the problem of "Error 1706"
