I was transfering songs to my gigabeat and when it was finished and I unpluged it from my computer. I got a white screen with red at the top and it says system error 00000020. What can I do to fix this error. I tired reformating the dirve but it still does not work, and my gigabet will not turn off now unless I turn it off on the bottom where it says battery on and off. But when I turn it back on the system error comes back up.
Lynda having trolled through countless message boards it seems that there are many with the same problem but no way to properly fix it!! i think i will be giving toshiba a call tomorrow to see what they have to say.

There are programs like sound taxi that will do it easily but they do charge for them. If all of the files are on your computer just add them to iTunes and they'll all transfer to your ipod. If not just transfer them from your Gigabeat to your computers music file. Add the file to your iTunes and then sync your ipod to your computer and all of your songs will be on your ipod. Unfortunately without paying for a transfer program you will loose all of your playlists and organization files.
1.U need to reformat player first:
see page 52 of owners manual(application software)
2.when formatting with gigabeat finished u need to restore of the firmware data see page 51 of the manual.
Piece of cake,dude!
