Re: TV not working
The symptom is usually caused by a breakdown in the power supply circuit. in most modern receivers (transistorized and/or ic), it may also be caused by a breakdown in the horizontal deflection circuits (hor. oscillator, pre-drive, or drive circuits). supply voltages for the tuner, video if,sound if, and vertical output are usually supplied by the horizontal output circuit. but if you doesnt know anything about these stuffs, better bring it to a qualified service tecnhician.

Since the set appears to "recover", it suggests either a poor solder connection or bad cap somewhere in the power supply. The 7 blinks indicate the problem circuit is in the horizontal area. Check the regulator (STRxxxx) IC in the power supply. If you do not have experience working with TVs, please refer this repair to a shop. The regulator IC costs around $25.

That is an error code that tells the tech where the problem lies. It is probably somewhere in the power supply stage. Your best bet is to take it to a TV repair shoppe and let them deal with it. They have all the documentation in order to repair the unit, and they can tell you what the problem is before they work on it.
it is a bad fan. it also could be a power supply. Quite often the real problem is dirt clogging up the fan(s) to the
point that they need to be replaced. Operation of the set in a dirty
environment is not a good idea
