After the tv is on for about an hour or two the picture starts getting distorted at different places ( like water on oil paint)...slowly it gets worse all over the screen. then when i turn off the tv for about half hour and put it back again..it will run normally for another hour or two hours before the problem begins again. i called couple of repair places. one said color whell problem. othe said color processor problem is this the same problem as color convergance where a amp is required? if so where do i get it?
Since this happens after the set warms up, I would check for bad solder connections or capacitors on the convergence board. If the problem was not readily apparent, then I would consider replacing the board, as I believe the replacement board has been upgraded from the original.
