I have a T6500 talkabout. It will not transmit. The other works great. I have tried it with my other two older Talkabouts and it will not transmit. Occasionally it will show some life but only briefly. If anyone has any ideas please email me. I have tried every channel and sub channel with no luck. There is no physical damage and they have never been wet. Thanks Rob

Re: Motorola Talkabout T6500 will not transmit.
Are you sure the batteries are ok?, try to change the batery, check the radio battery contacts, verify if when you press the ptt, appear an icon on the display that correspond to TX function.
Try to use an audio accesory to TX, if all this fail, you should replace it.

The TalkAbout radios are license-free and operate on FRS/GMRS frequencies intended for family use. It is possible using them in a business situation may be outside of the license-free perimeters. You would need to check further on this through a licensing company or the FCC (www.fcc.gov)
