Dear Huygen, Please try to reset your scanner configuration, using some utilities from it's manual book (usually available at it's case/box), restore it by scanning it to factory configuration,or scan a label that would enable all symbologies.

Trying to get installer code on Honeywell Vista 15-P

hit *20 then put in whatever 4 digits you want as installer code. write this down on your program sheet for future reference. yes, you should have a program record sheet to follow and know how to navigate in programming or else you could make things worse.

How do i program the remote for my car?

PROGRAMMING REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY TRANSMITTERS (RKE)

1. Install scan tool

2. Turn the ignition switch to ON - do not start engine

3. Select "Remote Function Actuation" with the scan tool

4. Select "Special Functions"

5. Select "Program Key Fobs"

6. Select the number of key fobs to be programmed

7. Press and hold the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the first transmitter simultaneously for approximately 15 seconds. The door locks should cycle (Lock and unlock) to confirm that the programming of the first fob is complete.

8. If you are programming more than one transmitter, repeat the previous step for each transmitter for up to four transmitters in total.

9. Remove the scan tool

10. Exit the vehicle and operate transmitter functions to verify correct programming and operation.

Do not know how to set timer DT300 for Lights

Hi

Programming:
Set present time
Then set ON time for program 1
Set OFF time for program 1
Then set ON time for program 2
Set OFF time for program 2
Most timers will not function if there is a conflict in programming > for example Program 1 says ON at 6 and OFF at 7 and Program 2 says opposite or has overlapping times
When events are set, press SET once > this will put timer in RUN mode

If manual override works, and you set programming correctly, but timer does not carry out instructions, I guess the timer is no good.

Intermatic has 24 hour timers with 2 on-off per day
http://www.intermatic.com/products/timers/consumer%20indoor%20timers/lamp%20%20appliance%20timers.aspx
Intermatic has 7-day digital timers (all digital timers today are 7 day where you select the day that each program works)

Thanks.

Scanner will not accept any freq with 4 digits to the right of the decimal. Is this a scanner limitation or am I just not very smart : ( Thanx

You can enter up to five decimal digits, but the 4th and 5th are limited to 25, 50, or 75. These do not show as full sized digits during programming, scanning, or searching, but should be displayed as small digits to the right of the full-sized numerals - as shown on page 15 of the operating manual. I hope this helps.

Need the manual for your scanner? You can download and print it, at no cost, here:

How do you set the scanner to your local police or

First you need to know what frequencies are in use in your area. For a comprehensive database, visit:
www.RadioReference.com

To enter (program) a frequency for future scanning:
- Slide the MODE switch to Scanner
- Press the E (PGM) key. This will turn on the PGM indicator at the top right of the display.
- Press the UP or DOWN arrow (above the SCAN and HOLD keys) to advance to the desired channel, OR enter the channel number using the keypad.
- Press HOLD
- Enter the frequency, including the decimal point (e.g. 155.67).
- Press the E (PGM) key.
- To continue programming, use the UP or down key to advance OR enter a channel number, press HOLD, and continue programming as above.

When you're finished programming, press HOLD or SCAN.

I hope this helps. I have a BC370CRS on my desk, and I found that the programming is fairly simple -- once I got used to it.

NOTE: The BC370CRS will NOT work with trunked or digital radio systems. If these are in use in your area you will need a different scanner to listen in.

If your cables are connected between your keyboard and PC, be sure to set up the correct Keyboard Wedge Parameters, beginning on Page 34, to allow connectivity.
I'd start by scannig barcodes "CE" and "ZA" to reset to default wedge values. If that doesn't work, I'd procede to sc an "CF" for PC=AT,PS/2.
Pages 36 & 37 address the Caps Lock issue, where the scanned value is in the wrong upper or lower case.

Programming favorite channel scan

After you hold down the P button and the leds blink you put in 996 then the led's blink again. Once this happens all you do is put in the channel you want as a favorite, and then hit P For codes less that 4 or 5 digits you hit the enter key. ANd it isn't clear how many digits to put in for a channel with 2 digits but it looks like if you put in anything under 99 you will want to put in 099 098 097 etc etc... Hope that helps some
