The problem I'm having is the monitor is not displaying anymore, its just a blank screen. When I turn the monitor on the green light comes on briefly for like a second and then goes off . I have hooked up a different monitor and that works fine, so I know my pc is not the culprit. I do have the monitor apart and there are like 5 circuit boards inside.I don't know what needs to be replaced. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
I am having a similar problem. the backlights are coming on but with Windows loaded I just get a mostly bright screen with some faint colored streaks . But no image. I have looked at all the components and there are no bad Caps. The data interface looks the same as the one on my laptop. So I hooked the it up to my laptops data cable with the inverter being powered my it's own circuitry. But the back lights come on and there are not colored streaks.
I'm wandering if the lcd is bad or the electronics that run it.
Any suggestions.

With that many boards, it probably has a separate ballast (inverter) to run the lamps. In the power supply section, I would look for bulging electrolytics and bad connections. In the ballast I would suspect a shorted output transistor, a bad output transformer, a bulging capacitor or bad connections.
