Question about Fisher and Paykel 24 in. DD603H W Built-in Dishwasher
Greetings!
My mother-in-law went to use her 18-month old Fisher&Paykel DD603i (with integrated cabinet drawer fronts) bottom drawer on Thanksgiving, but it started beeping and showed an error with the motor. She usually just uses the top drawer, since there are only two people in the house. From what I can determine from looking around the FixYa site, this system uses a magnetic system to turn the impeller? Is that correct?
From the messages I've read, it looks like someone here may have a service manual for this unit? If so, would you be kind enough to forward it to me also?
My mom-in-law would greatly appreciate it, and I could probably get an extra slice of leftover pumpkin pie!!
Thanks,
Craig

Craig, we had virtually the same situation. The repair man came and it took 2 minutes to fix. The problem was that the bottom drawer had not been used for a couple of years and thus the impellor had jammed. to fix it take out the basket, lift off the rotor arm and unscrew the knob. Then just work the impellor around with your fingers until it frees. It then worked perfectly. We will use the bottom often from now on to prevent this happening again. By now the left over pumpkin pie will be a bit green!!

F2 means that your rotor isn't moving properly and will need to be replace or it needs to be removed and check for something blocking it. Below is a link to a video that will show you how to take your dishwasher apart and repair your Fisher and Paykel unit.

Good luck
I really like the F&P dishdrawer dishwasher - but the F2 problem had me stumped. Thanks ++ for this - it worked immediately and well!
did this work for you Craig, we have the same problem cannot get the impeller to turn at
Thanks from us too jscrim... bought a F & P dish drawer second hand. The people said they hadn't used it in about 4 years. Immediately after installing we got the F2 error. Used your solution above and its working like a charm. 2 loads done already! Saved me getting out a repairman...
Thank you jscrim! Just moved into a new place with this issue and you've fixed it!

Thanks jscrim! I just had the F2 problem with my Fisher&Paykel and fixed it as you suggested which is to unscrew the knob under the rotor arm. You made my day!

Usually answered in minutes!
my dishwasher is filled with water and when I tried a rinse cycle hoping it would drain the water, I got an F2 error message. Do not want to call an applicance man AGAIN on this dishwasher.
thanks

Wow! I can't remember how much I paid for this THING but I certainly didn’t get what I paid for. I've had this washer for about 2 1/4 years and had it break twice. It now is showing Error F2! What the H is F2! And why did I buy a Fisher & Paykel even though it is rated always in the medium range of customer approval? Maybe I'm the one that needs to go into the repair shop. HELL-P!!!!

PS: So, how do you get this THING to empty the water form the basin? It's going to get rancid and stink.... THX!
Every time that has happened to me it is due to the filter at the bottom of the drawer needing cleaning. It's a very fine mesh and doesn't take long for it to start to clog. Remove it from the bottom of the drawer and scrub it well with hot soapy water and a brush. My bet is that's the cause of the problem. When I finally realized this, I quit complaining about my machine. I still don't love all the beeps, but at least now it works as it should. I've never had to have it repaired.
Just saw the date of your comment! That machine is probably long gone! :D
I like this article, it is very meaningful and detailed, I hope you will have many good articles like this to share.
