Hi,

To avoid the pop up Kindly right click on the Belkin router monitor Icon in the system tray & click exit. To avoid it happening all together, Go to control pannel & click on add / remove programs & unistall the router monitor software. The router would still work in the absence of the router monitor software.

Thanks..

When i turn my computer on it loads but then a erro message comes up so i want to do a pc reset and i have looked online useing my laptop and it tells me when i see a blue dell splash bar come up to press...

The procedure is actually correct. but if your computer is fast you may miss it. try this, upon turning the computer on, start pressing the CTRL+F11 immediately. if you have reformated your HDD then most likely you've lost the recovery partition for the PC Restoration.

How can i boot my dell studio from cdrom so i can reinsall from external drive?

Turn on the machine, press F12 once the Dell splash screen is displayed, the boot menu will show up. From the Boot Menu, use up-down arrow keys on the keyboard and highlight the CD/DVD/CD-RW and press Enter. You will see another menu, select "Boot from Cd-Rom" and press enter to select it. The system will boot up from the CD-Rom. Please note that this settings is only for one time boot, once the system is restarted, the boot sequence will be restored to the previous saved settings. If you wish to set it from the Bios, enter the Bios settings by hitting F2 or Delete (should be shown at the bottom of the Dell splash screen) while you see the Dell Splash Screen. In the Bios settings menu, go to Boot options and make the changes with the boot sequence.

I have a gateway gx7022e windows xp computer. When i try to boot it up the white letters pop up then the screen goes to the gateway screen and freezes. Then my num lock comes on but my keyboard wont work....

At power on / power up, look for the key during the bootup (black screen with white text), that allows you to enter SETUP. If none designated such as F1, F2 F10 etc, then quickly click the delete button a few times and that may get you into setup. You may have to turn off the computer if you miss that window of time if it rfequires pressing the delete button a few times. Keep an eye out for the Enter Setup key though. To turn off the computer press and hold the power button 'till is shuts down and resart the process until you get to the setup screen in bios. In setup bios environment, look for set factory defaults and then save and restart. That may solve the issue of the lockup.

1. Step 1 Position your Belkin wireless G router.
Place your wireless G router in a wide open and central location. Don't connect the power plug into the router, yet. Make sure your computer is turned off.

2. Step 2 Connect all the devices.
Find the Ethernet cable that connects your PC to the modem. Unplug the Ethernet cable from your PC and insert it into the wireless G router's WAN port. You should have an additional Ethernet cable that came with your router. Take this cable and plug one end into one of the LAN ports on the router. Then connect the other end to your PC's Ethernet port.

3. Step 3 Turn on your modem, router, and PC.
Plug the power plug adapter into the modem. Turn on the modem. It'll take approximately 30 seconds for the modem to boot up. Connect the power plug adapter to the router and the other end into a power strip or outlet. Like the modem, it'll take about 30 seconds for the router to boot. Turn on your PC.

4. Step 4 Verify lights are on for your devices.
Make sure the following lights are on for your router: power, WAN, and LAN light. If you don't see any of them lit, confirm these devices are turned on. Make sure the Ethernet cable connections are installed correctly.
Step 5 Install and configure software.
Use the setup wizard application to configure your Belkin wireless G router. Set up features, such as creating your password and setting up your time zone. Continue to follow the setup wizard so you can configure ?other settings

Computers will not switch over

it has been some time since i used this particular kvm. one thing is true about all kvm's, you must boot each computer one at a time and each computer must be active on your monitor. so, turn off both computers and attach your kvm. turn on the computer that is attached to side A or 1. when the computer has reached the login screen you may boot up computer 2. check the documentation that came with your kvm, this particular belkin has a 3 stroke hot key sequence for switching. you can also find it online at the belkin site.

hope this helps,

DELL latitude 100l, someone disabled all boot devices then set config / administrator password. Please help

Boot Priority on Dell Latitude 100L
  1. Turn On Your PC
Have you ever noticed the messages that pop up on the screen as soon as you turn on your PC? These messages tell you a key combination you can press to enter "Setup" or the "BIOS." Watch your screen and see if you can read what keys to press.
  2. Press the Keys to Enter Setup Mode
If you did not see a message telling you what keys to press, try tapping the following possibilities as you turn on the machine:
    • Esc
    • F2
    • F12
    • F10
    • F1
After pressing Esc or other key, you will most likely see instructions telling you how to enter "Setup Mode". Follow those instructions.
tip.gif On some computers, you must hold down the key before you press the power button to turn on the computer. For example, if you are converting a Toshiba laptop to a Linux Workstation, you must hold down the Esc key and then press the power button. The computer then asks you to press F1, and you can then set the "Boot Priority."
  3. Using the Arrow Keys, Choose the "Boot," "Boot Order," or "Boot Priority" Option
The menu of choices you see will be different for different kinds of computers. Remember that the choice you want is the "Boot" order or "Boot Priority." On some computers, this is called the "Start Up Options" or "Start Up Sequences." You are going to change where the PC will look for boot information when it starts up. (CD-ROM, HARD DRIVE/HDD, LAN, FLOPPY, USB). If you wish to boot from your Hard drive, then select it as your First Priority.
  4. Using the instructions on the screen, save your settings and start up your PC. The PC must boot from the HDD. Regrds

My Acer Aspire 3000 has a blank screen

I suggest you check the settings of your bios. Normally this happens if your Hard drive is unreadable. Change the settings of the boot function to first boot on Hard disk and try to disable all other bootable hardwares like CD or network card.

Hope this helps.
