The screen does not work because the "conexion" is broken. I need the sparepart badly

From your description you would be further ahead to buy a new camera, you stated there are no repair shops where you live, and to send it away would be expensive probably costing more than a new one. The only other option is go on ebay to price a new screen, but you will need the skills to take it apart and soldering may be required to replace the panel display.

i took mine to a local, reputable, camera shop and they told me the sensor went out and it would be $199 to replace. hope this helps.

Try different batteries. Digital cameras need good high end batteries to work correctly.

The camera has been working fine until 2 weeks ago but when the camera takes a lot of light, them the pictures are stripy. On the other hand the video recording is ok with the same light. A shop told me that the camera is broken (the sensor) and i should buy another one. what can i do??

well, u have to go change your cameras screen thats the only way man!

its your ccd chip,, its broken,, u can let them repair it but its cheaper to buy a new one,, your ccd chip does not show the manufactor on your screen but it controls the colours of your photo, so u only can see this when u took the picture,, and for some reason the video does not need the ccd chip,, the ccd chip is only for the photos u gonna take,, hope i helped ya

wow! good luck... I would say the manufacturer would be your best bet to order from. i don't know how LCD screens are but i do know that most camera parts are pretty touchy for being with their own counterparts. I've tried camera repair, man it is intricate! once again, GOOD LUCK

After some work I think I have an idea how to repair a broken lcd screen on your Sanyo 6MP Xacti Digital Camera. Perhaps this will also work on other cameras.

1. Unscrew the 6 screws around the camera. Facing the lens you will find 2 screws on right side, 3 screws in the bottom and 1 screw on left side - there is also 1 screw under left side panel that you can unscrew after carefaully lifting of the panel.

2. Remove front panel.


3. Look at attached photo and unscrew the 2 screws that hold the back cover (it took me some time to find them I can tell). Perhaps you need to remove some screws that holds the curcuit board.

4. Remove the wiring shown on the photo that holds the lcd screen.


5. Remove the back panel and unscrew the 3 screws that holds the small lcd screen small curcuit board.

For the moment I don't know there to buy a new lcd screen but I guess it will be possible to find at a repair shop on Internet. For other marks I have found lcd screens for about $60.
