M1-DA to HDMI

Hi when I connect my DVD via M1-DA to HDMI adopter to my projector, I see my dvd screen saver, when I start my movie it blacks out, only shows a small window with resolution 1280 x 780 / 60hz. My dvd is upconversion Toshiba and upconvert to 1080i interlaced. What is wrong. Take care

SOURCE: A message appears saying "no disc" and DVD are not recognize anymore

I had this problem once. I sent it in and they had to update the firmware. I don't recall that they did anything else, but, am not certain. I would start with that.

SOURCE: Maximizing screen resolution/settings for movies? I have had this since new

Hi there

There is no way you could push it any further than 480p

If you would however like a better picture you can add a scaler like the DVDO Iscan VP30 to the mix and be blown out of your shoes with colour and smoothness of image.

SOURCE: LP 640 projector not able to display 1080p

Hello, The LP640 will NOT down-convert 1080p
1080i is the max it can down-convert.

As far as the DIGI input, it is not DVI... It's a proprietary
InFocus format they call M1-D P&D and is NOT HDCP compatible. I have several LP640 manuals, some quite old and none of them claim that 1080p is a valid resolution. interesting that your manual says it is... very odd indeed.

Good Luck!

Cheers

Digital Coaxial not working on DVD player

There might be several problems. As the projector has component only connections and the DVD player none, then if the Receiver has component out, you can hook it up to that. If the receiver has HDMI inputs then you can connect the DVD player via the HDMI socket to it. The Coax sockets on the DVD player will be for sound. Number one should be connected to Digital coax 1 and assigned for it.
It's possible that the sound on the DVD player is switched off on the coax or has the wrong format selected. You will need to see the player's menu for this, so if you can't see the screen using the projector, connect a TV instead.
However if the receiver has no component out and no HDMI sockets you will have real problems connecting the DVD and using the projector with it. Though you should be able to hear the sound via the Denon.

Looking at purchasing a used HP MP3135. In purchasing a HDMI female to M1-DA male adaptor, will this allow me to connect my laptop etc via HDMI cable? We also would like to connect a Wii and HD TV, how do...

HP available M1 to VGA (included )
Optional M1 to DVI (available on HP accesories)
To connect laptop via HDMI to Projector you need a HDMI to DVI adapter + Cable M1 to DVI (you get ONLY Video on DVI Output)
To connect Wii to projector you need a M1 to Composite

look the manuals on page 20-30

No sound coming to the speakers.

What is the model number of your receiver?
Many receivers don't support audio over HDMI, they just switch the signal from hdmi-in 1-4 to hdmi-out, but can't analyze the data to take audio out of it. Your receiver is probably one of those.
You need to connect the DVD player also via spdif digital cable. Look at the player to see if it has optical (square black plug) or coax (orange RCA plug) connector. Receiver probably has both of them.

I'm tryingto hook up my lp350 to hdmi. I purchased an m1-da to hdmi adapter. When I hook up my dvd player or PS3, I get a message that the display does not contain HDCP compatibility.

Unfortunatly your projector is not HDCP compliant. In other words it lacks the proper hardware and software which is neccessary for you to watch HDCP content. HDCP is a form of copy protection.

PS3 to Infocus LP 350 projector using HDMI

Hi,

M1-DA is a type of DVI connection that produces both analogue and digital signals, the easiest and most quality source cable for you to get is a HDMI to M1-DA cable which is now widely available for purchase.

Infocus should have included this cable in with your projector, but instead the power at bee decided to put a M1-DA to DVI-D cable instead when most visual devices now support HDMI and not DVI nowadays.

Thanks

Connecting Projector to High Def Source (e.g. PS3 HDMI)

That projector supports M1-D also which is the digital side of the M1-DA... Anyway, they sell cables that are M1-D to HDMI to which you can hook directly to the PS3. They are decently priced too, less than $20. I know this thread is old, but I came across it due to an issue I am having with my xb31, broken color wheel. Trying to find parts...
