My 52" RCA projection, model HD52W59 turns on for a second then I hear a crackling sound and the green light blinks and goes off Plz Help
Set is prone to two problems: high voltage splitter at front of set behind speaker grill arcs-------also set does have parts on HV board that do the same thing---HV transformer feeds voltage to the splitter.
is it worth it?

hey Sd Tech so your saying my fuse in my tv prob got blown from simply tripping over the wire while its on or lighting because i got this tv from a friend and im not really sure what i can do with it and also how much would it cost estimite
not very good sets--parts hard to find and expletive deleted if you get my meaning?
i had opened my tv and had got all the way to my bulb all the way on the right now my tv was in the rain and i let it dry out for a week but when i open the bulb and took it all out there was this watery substance now im not sure about anything on tv's but is that watery stuff supposed to be there?
its not worth fixing now--the clear liquid is glycol and highly toxic.

blinking light indcate a processor shutdown.. the processor has detected a problem in safety circuits and shut down the set. common problem are flyback and horizotal ouptut transistor. the processor has a error log file. technicians can plug a specail computer and read those to determine problem

comon fault is one of the picture projection tubes is broken.not worth fixing
