Question about Mitsubishi WS-65713 65" Rear Projection HDTV
We can't seem to get beyond the blinking green light to get the TV to turn on. I had a repairman here and he indicated that there were two boards and they were not talking to each other. He removed one of them for 24 - 48 hours and put it back in the TV and still we only get as far as the blinking green light. I need to order a new part, but i am not sure what it is. I live in a remote area, and i have not been able to get the repairman to respond. Help, is it possible to figure out which board i need and is it something i can install myself?
You need to call Mitsubishi about this as I have the same problem and have been WAITING SINCE AUGUST, 2007 for a replacement board. Mits has had this board on backorder since July, 2007. Seems that they can't get them in from Japan, they constantly change the ETA of the board, and then they (Mits) say they will expediate but that takes about 1 1/2 weeks to do that. Their number is 1-800-332-2119 and press 5 to get to customer relations and THEN you WAIT, and tell Mits what is going on and then they put you on hold AGAIN and they transfer you to a HIGHER LEVEL, only to have to repeat the same story AGAIN!! Each time you wait, the time frame gets longer and longer but stick with it. If a repairman comes to your house, the repair is going to work about 3 months and the board goes out again. Now Mits wants me to find all receipts so that they can issue store credit (purchased thru Good Guys, who is out of business!) I purchased my MIts w-61573, Jan 2004 and OF course, I am unable to find receipt for big screen, locating only the repair bill so far. I may be up the creek without a paddle. I sincerely hope Mits comes thru. I hope you can use this info. Good Luck

Four bad capacitors in DM module = common repair for a
qualified Mits repairman.....1000mf/25v 105 degree............T.
