When i install windows 7 it says that it does not support aero effects howerver its memory is 128mb

hello
the MX4000 video card is not built to run aero it can run window 7 but not the aero effect, even if you fo to the support site of Nvidai to download the latest driver even in vista it does not have anything under that.
you can try the FX 5000 series of Nvida they still have an agp version

Need to update driver xfx gf mx4000

Go to http://www.nvidia.co.uk/Download/index.aspx and select GeForce as the product type and GeForce 4 MX as the series. Choose the OS and language and away you go.

However, this is a fairly old card and if you're trying to play a new game it is possible that it isn't supported - it has no programmable shaders, for example, which may be required for new games.

GeForce MX4000 just installed it on my Gateway, when monitor pluged into card jack it dosen't work when I plug it into the gatway monitor jack the Mx4000 works but graphics look as if its running in...

Your new video card might be bad. Or you just might need to reseat your new card, might have a bad connection. Not sure how new your BIOS is? You might need to change a setting in your BIOS to stop using the on-board video.

My BIOS auto detected my video card, but your BIOS might not be that up-to-date.

Installing AGP video card

Don't boot with the monitor connected to the card. You need to let it boot into windows and install the drivers for it first. Once you do that, shutdown and restart with the monitor plugged into it and it should work.
