You can buy a DVD cleaning kit and follow instructions, or get a Q-Tip and rubbing alcohol, gently clean the lens and allow several minutes to dry before testing, if this fails the whole laser pickup assembly will need to be replaced, cheaper to buy a new player.
SOURCE: i have a panasonic dmr-75v

It plays DVD's... it just doesn't play things that have been copied any more. It use to just fine. I've cleaned it with a laser cleaning kit, unplugged it and then restarted it.
I'm at my wits end...any more suggestions? Thanks
Yes it plays the ones I buy from the store and rent from Redbox, it just won't play the copies of my original one's I've burned for my grandbabies anymore and it use to just fine!
Also, there isn't a problem inserting the disc or ejecting the disc. The recordable disc's are DVD+ and have worked perfectly in the past and now all of a sudden it doesn't recognize that there's a disc...it'll say "NO DVD...HO4". Called Panasonic and they want a lot of money to fix it and I could buy a new one for much less! It still work's fine as far as rented or purchased DVD's, or CD's and radio. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
