Horizontal Green Lines!

I'd be grateful if anyone out there can help... I have a Sony VPL-CS1 projector - about a minute after turning it on I get light green horizintal lines covering the projected image. After about half an hour or so they gradually disappear... any ideas??? Thanks, Tim

Hi Tim

I've seen this many times. Only way to get rid of it is to replace the Mainboard.

This will get worse as time goes by.

What could be the issue if my projector turns itself off after only running for 1-2 minutes?

It maybe a problem with your lamp as they can run for a short while then shut down.
When it shuts down do you get the lamp or temp indicator coming on?

Projector SONY VPLCS!

I had the same problem with a Sony VPL CS1. It's not the mainboard, but the blue filter - cost to repair runs around $500 US.
Hope that helps.

Sony VPL-CS1 projector

Hi there

You should first check if there is any visible damage on your lamp. If not then it could be a faulty Ballast ( lamp powersupply )
