The problem with the LCD of your N95 is associated with the flex. This is a common problem to all flip up and slid up phones. I will advice you to take the phone to a technician for proper repair.
To help you with this problem, I want you to know that when a cellphone got fell or something done to phone, like you accidentally sit on it, the main problem will be make is lost in display or it will crack, you will not see anything but you can hear something like message tone and start-up tone, you can also receive calls. Don't be worry with that kind of problem. To tell you whats happening inside your phone is your LCD display connection is only misaligned or need to be replaced when it was crack. Get it to the nearest cellphone repair center to get cellphone to be open by a technician and probably they will do dismantling your phone and fix the problem.
Don't forget to rate this solution please..Thanks..:-)
if its blank you have to replace the lcd screen with a new one.
sometimes it maybe a flex cable problem which occurs in some slide phones.
at mobile phone repair stores, the cost of an original lcd screen replacement is usually $150-$200, though sometimes an original lcd screen may not be fitted into your device but rather a hong-kong made one which is similar to the original but is less brighter and a little less sharper.
if you take it to a nokia care centre to replace the lcd screen you may have to pay over $250.
you can just buy an lcd screen off ebay, replacing the lcd screen yourself isnt hard with the tools provided. you just have to take the ribbon cable from the old lcd screen and insert the new lcd screen and plug in the ribbon cable for it.
the reason for original Nokia n95 8Gb lcd screens being so expensive to repair/replace is that it is also the same lcd screen used for the Nokia N96.
There is no sure way to know if the problem is the cable without taking apart the phone, and testing or replaceiong parts. How
ever, if your screen goes blank when you touch the cable, then the
problem is either the ribbon cable, or the screen itself that has a
broken connector, or in rare cases the connetor on the small board.
Check first if the cable is not just misplaced in the connector, and eventually adjust it.
Replace the cable, that cost a couple of dollars. If you still get the problem replace the LCD display.
its your flex (the ribbon that connects to u'r board and lcd.. it maybe disconnected, or it is broken have cuts.. it can be re attach or replace the flex..2nd it could also be u'r lcd, but i'm sure it's u'r flex... bring it to the pro's.
but how much is the original flex cable or lcd?
