It means that one of the secondary output voltages are short. You ll need to check every output voltage at the smps transformer. If the set is producing a hissing sound, then either the 115 v zeener is faculty or the horizontal output transistor is faulty
if you mean have sound but no Pic.or no raster, horizontal section is the culprit. most problem is at the Horizontal output section that drives the Flyback transformer. Pull out that HV cap & test them to ground if there is some arc coming out. No arc means failed output section or the flyback transformer need to be replace..
its either you have a problem in the horizontal output, most probably flyback transformer or horizontal output transistor or ther is a defective component in hori. section.do not do it yourself.lehtal voltages present.contact qualified technician.
You have a short on the secondary side of the transformer that is hissing. You are going to need someone knowledgeable in electronics, to help you find the short. Most likely it is your Horizontal output transistor.
there is loose contact on the high voltage section in your tv.what you are going to do is open it,and reheat with soldering iron and a piece of soldering lead the video chroma section and the high voltage section, near the flyback
With the set unplugged check the horizontal
output transistor, horizontal driver transistor and the horizontal driver transformer, for shorts, cold solder joints. Next if all checks
ok, suspect the convergence IC's and related
