Normal 0 Make sure the batteries are good.
Turn the mouse over and find the small rest/connect button on the bottom of the mouse and press it. This should connect the mouse to the receiver and work properly. If not, try pressing the receiver button and then press the button on the mouse. This should be done whenever you change batteries or glitch.
Hope this helps you. Bud

Hello ania1997,
I've seen this 'problem' before.
First, disconnect the "Mouse."
Next, click on the "Start Button."
Now, click on the "Control Panel," in the 'start menu'.
Scroll in the Control Panel, and select the "Mouse" applet!
Open the [Mouse Properties], by 2x clicking or,
Right clicking,and open.
From here you want to [Disable the Touchpad Device].
!Beware, that now, you may have to "Manually Navigate."
Without the 'mouse; you will use the "Tab, Arrows, and 'Enter' buttons,
to perform tasks, if the 'optical mouse' doesn't work the first time.
"Restart the computer."
Connect the "Optical Mouse."
"The {Mouse should be detected automatically}."

Someone gave me a computer they also gave me a gear head wireless mouse and keyboard i would like to use them but dont know what i need to do

There should be a software disk that came with it to install, but if not, sometimes you can just plug them in and they should work. If they don't work immediately, email me the make and model of the keyboard and mouse with the operating system on your computer, and I'll see if I can find you a driver.-

Plug in

No, you are not an idiot. I believe the problem is that the software 4 your mouse isn't installed properly. If it came with a CD rom then insall it that way. But there is another possibiliy. It could just the usb port on you computer. Either way you not and idiot.

Sir, usb mouse is working properly but in,

if the usb mouse is working properly then there may be a problem on the button click of the mouse or, there are viruses on your computer that modified the registry in which you wont be able to do a click on your system . try it on another computer, if it works then there may be mechanical problems on your mouse. Pm me if it works or not. Thank you .

Usb mouse problem

Did you install the CD software program that came with your mouse?
If you did and it gave you the unknown device, Then disconnect the mouse receiver from the USB port and reinstall the software program from the CD.
Then if that doesn't work try the following.
Normal 0 Turn the mouse over and find the smallrest/connect button on the bottom of the mouse and press it toReset/Connect the mouse to the receiver and work properly.
If not, try pressing the receiver button and then pressthe mouse. This should be done whenever you change batteries orglitch.

Frozen mouse with a touch pad laptop computer

Check your drivers. Go into the device manager (start>control panel>system>hardware>device manager>human interface device) . If it shows a big yellow question mark, than it is a driver problem.

I would suggest that you either install or download the latest drivers for the mouse, and you can do this even without checking for a hardware conflict as stated above.

You can also access the control panel and trouble shoot your mouse through the mouse icon.

Even sometimes this may not work.....

I had an IBM brand optical mouse that continually plague me with problems until I gave it away with a computer that I built. The person who has it is still have occasionally issues with the mouse even with the proper drivers installed. I believe that it is a connection issue because sometimes the mouse will start working when you jiggle the male USB connection.

GE Wireless mouse & keyboard

are both keyboard and mouse communicating with a single wireless devices, or each has it's own? sometime you need to sync the signal to the wireless device. but do this first... ask your sister if the mouse was working before she gave it to you, there is a possibility that the mouse is broken/no working. if it's an optical mouse, the mouse that has lights sensor, make sure it lights up...

Wireless Logitech mouse has suddenly lost it's connection WIRELESS LOGITEK mouse LZ8 has suddenly lost connection to the Microsoft receiver SK 7260 and I can't get it back - the mouse arrow just sits on the screen and won't move. When I press the " connect" button on top of the receiver there are no lights flashing the light on the left as I look at the front panel stays green ,if I press a keyboard key the green light on the right flashes and the keyboard is still working fine. It's a PS/2 connection PC running on Windows XP and everything is checked ok in System devices, no warnings at all. Devices also recognises mouse as Microsoft ps/2 compatible and it says the mouse is working. This is not a new install just a sudden failure of the existing one. Tried the mouse on my brother's PC and it works fine there. What's the problem solution? There are two buttons on the bottom of the mouse one says reset the other has what looks like anon/off icon and a little green light is shown above it. I've tried pressing both along with pressing the Channel button on the receiver but get no reaction at all from the receiver - as I said above the wireless keyboard is working and the receiver flashes as keys are hit. Shouldn't be software problem as I ran a system restore back 24 hours to before it stopped working . I'm totally lost now - any help gratefully received - couldn't see anything on the Logitech site which helped.
