You may not have a wireless card in that computer. if you've installed one, you'll need to use the software that came with the adapter

SOURCE: how to enable wireless network on targa computer

Harry, If you mean to access WiFI, then all you have to do is buy a WiFi dongle. Install it and then insert the dongle into the USB port. and you are on. But, if you want to run a WIFi hot spot on your PC, then you need to install a wireless router so that other devices having a WiFI capability can connect to it. You need to set up a WireLess LAN for which there exists a wizard in Windows.

How to turn on bluetooth radio

Which operating system ???...
There are a variety of ways to connect to the Internet or a home/business network using your Hewlett-Packard (HP) desktop computer---via a modem, Ethernet cable and even wirelessly.
A wireless connection works by sending a signal from your modem or router to your HP desktop's built-in wireless radio.
The radio receives and processes the signal so you can access the Internet or a home or business network.
In order for the signal to be received by your HP desktop, you must enable the wireless radio within the computer's configuration.

Click "Start," "Control Panel."
Double-click on the "HP Wireless Assistant" icon.
The HP Wireless Assistant dialog box will open.
Click the "Turn On" button next to the words "Wireless LAN."
Click "Close" to activate the wireless radio.

the most likely issue is the computer's graphics card. to avoid extra problems, try replacing it with the same model graphics card.

I have suddenly lost the wireless connectionon my dv4 notebook. it tells me no network connection is detected. I have tried turning off the modem and router, waiting a bit and then turning it back on but...

Loosing wireless network in HP is very common. They often loose network when they are overheated. The point that is to be noted when it looses the wireless network is, it automatically disables the wireless network adapter. When you right click and select enable, it wont work. You need to restart your system in order to enable it. I myself faced same problem.
But when i updated the WiFi driver from HP support and driver site, the problem disappeared.

hope this will help....cheers:)

Hp vertical monitor help plz....

after looking over the spacifics of the model you posted, I'm not certain that you are correct in assuming this monitor is meant to be viewed virtically. The issue is the monitor's resolution. Typicaly, your monitor's resolution dictates it's orientation. for your model:
Recommended resolution (H x V) 1680 x 1050 @ 60 Hz
that means your monitor is not meant to be virtical. However...
If you indeed wish to tilt your monitor on it's side, depending on your graphics card, you may be able to use proprietary software to " rotate " the display.

(nVidia has settings such as these for some of thier graphics cards. )
