Question about Hitachi DZ-MV550 DVD Camcorder

Hitachi dz-mv550e i bought the hitachi dz-mv550e dvd camcorder but do not have the software.can anyone help me or tell me where i can get one thanks

    When I plug the camcorder into the usb port nothing happens. I need to go through a pre installed software that is worthless. Can not copy videos to a disk.

Hitachi MV550e camcorder with vista
I have installed my 350e with the WinXP drivers on my Vista box. After install went ok, the DVD-Cam drive came up under my computer.

Copied the video file across to the desktop and changed the extension to MPG.

Plays fine in WMP, should be able to edit ok with Vegas or smilir I guess.

At least I can download from the camera disks and archive now. :)
