When I try to print a drawing solid from my cad software, I only get a partial print. I have printed these in the past with no problem but now it does not work. Can anyone steer me in the right direction to fix this? Have I inadvertently changed a setting or something?

Re: lack of printing
It is a process of elimination. List the things you did just before it stopped printing properly and eliminate these ie did you install a new program? (it may have had spyware) did you change windows os, or install an update that changed some settings. Sometimes it can be an error with the program itself, try uninstalling the cad software and reinstall it again and try printing again, but only after you have tries printing from another program. Open wordpad or notepad, type a few letters and try to print. Did it do the same or did it prinnt correctly? If it did, you now it is something to do with the software. If id did not, you could even have a dirty printhead or cartridges. Are ink levels full or low? Only after eliminating thes etypes of issues can you narrow down the cause. Run antispyware as a precaution.

If you open the productivity studio for the Lexmark X8350 under the Settings option there should be the print Black and White option otherwise download the latest driver from the Lexmark Site and look using that new driver/software
I'm assuming you mean a page from the internet... you can cut and paste to a .rtf file (rich text format) if you just want the text, or a Word .doc for all graphics if you need to print right away. I would reinstall the software, and possible try updating the driver from HP or Windows...
I do not have this model printer or computer, but I thought I would offer that most printer set-up dialog boxes from the program you are printing from, will let you select mono. I'm somewhat familiar with this because I use CAD software and though I draw multi color lines, I want only to print black-line.
I hope this helps... Good luck!
Will TurboCAD allow you to export to a .pdf instead of printing to a .pdf? Have you tried printing to a file (.prn) before turning the file to a .pdf? To print to a file, click Print Setup, there should be a box to check to Print To File. Make sure you check that box. Then you should be asked to pick a file format which should be .prn if you are using windows. After you create the .prn file, then open Acrobat and convert the .prn to a .pdf. I hope this helps you with your problem. Printing can be a pain with CAD programs.
Does the printer show you Printer error with number and letters following it? Prior to printing, check the 'print preview' to see how the layout of the printing is showing. If the CAD drawing is not adjusted to fit on the paper in the printer, you may from time to time get a printer error.
out to make your design appear on a single screen, drag and draw a box
around it, using the Select Objects Tool. Once it's all selected, go
to Edit > copy, File > new, Edit > paste. Print from this new file. Note:
this may be caused by an extraneous object on an outer edge of your
plan. When you zoom out, pan around your design to see if there is a
stray object, which you can delete.
