Fisher & Paykel Smartdrive won't spin

it wont spin if there is water remaining in it,check pump for restrictions or anything jamming it if good replace pump

The magnetic reed lid switch could be faulty.

Take the lid off,just open it & pull it straight up.There should be a little red button that the lid strikes against unless its a different model,in that case it has a magnetic reed switch under the right hand side of the hob.press this red switch instead of closeing lid,see if it fill with no problem.the lid may not be making good contact with switch..if thats not it then it may be the inlet valve..then you can try the hot,if theres no problem with hot then its the cold valve.

Try taking the cold hose of at the tap and check to see if has a little mesh filter in there. This could be blocked up with gunk.

Unplug the machine have someone tilt the machine back and look under the machine for a little fan on a motor give it a turn to see if it spins it might just be sticky or it may need replacing.

might be an overload. remove some clothes and retry. I have the manual here on my site:

fisher and paykel 6.5 excellence kelvinator washing machine,lights up,no water,checked hoses to the tap .water comes to the machine ,fill plastic reserve. no water goes in the tumbler.,? .any suggestions.thanks

the pump has either something jammed in it so remove it and check,if good check the pump copper windings for any uneven coloring if darker in one area replace pump

with no error code ... I would check you drain pump or drain hose... you first may want to try a shop vac connected to the end of a drain hose .. let me know if it helps
