Gary, Could be power supply failure. Links below for trouble shooting your problem. "I hope this helped you out, if so let me know by pressing the helpful button. Check out some of my other posts if you need more tips and info."
The first thing to do is check that the charger is putting out the correct voltage, which should be ~18 volt. Then try to start it without the battery. If your voltage is OK and the battery out makes no difference, then I would suspect that you have a motherboard problem that must be fixed. If the computer starts up if you wiggle the DC plug where it goes into the computer, then it's the DC jack that is looks and must be re-soldered.
Does it say it cannot locate the hard drive? Try turn the computer completely off, unplugging the power to it. Then, ground yourself by touching the PC case, and open the PC up. Once you do that, unplug the hard drive, then reconnect it and make sure its completely pushed in. Then put the case back on and power plugged back in and turn your computer on.
Called Hp, they said it is a firmware problem and they would notify me when they solved it. All I do is unplug and then plug it back in. If that don't work, make sure you have a phone line plugged in you're printer and pretend to make a phone call, this will "wake up" the printer, it will say "phone off hook". Then on the keypad of the printer push the star and pound buttons at the same time, then enter 1, 2, and 4. Scroll thru until you see "system menu" then push the OK button and find "system mode timeout" push OK then enter 1800 and push OK. Push OK again to make sure. That is the dafault setting for this printer. After doing all that you're printer will go to power save mode after 30 minutes sitting idle but it should pop right back to normal by pushing the power button once or sending a print command from you're computer. At least that's what I did and now it seems to come out of power save mode when it's supposed to....gary
The first thing to check is , the Power, are ya sure it's plugged in OK, are ya sure that socket is working, try something else in that outlet to prove, check the power cord is pushed right in, Check ya on the right Video connector on the PC, make sure all conns are correct. Try the monitor on another base unit, try your base unit on another monitor. If all these are OK then ya Monitor has turned it's toes up sorry.
If it won't charge and wont power up then same thing happened to me. If you are willing to open up your psp there is a video on youtube that can show you whats wrong. The cable that connects the buttons on the right side most likely disconnected from the main board and the right side of the psp including the buttons, the power switch and the top right trigger won't respond. When you try to turn on the psp and when its charging if the light won't come on then you might have this problem.
