I changed the filter and it stopped making ice. I finally discovered that the rubber fill spout had frozen somehow. I heated the tube with my wife's hair dryer and the top of the fridge just above the tube. A pencil sized chunk of ice fell out of the tube and it started making ice again.
Good troubleshooting, the motor module (power head I guess you call it) is a high failure item. If you can manually fire the solenoid and get water to the Ice Maker then that's OK. Another item can be the t-stat at the ice maker, it must be "closed" at 15-17 degrees F. or it won't send power to the motor module. There may be a schematic under the front of the fridge in a plastic holder stuck up underneath. Sometimes it's just tech notes but some show the basic wiring diagram.

ice maker does not dispense water. all else works. checked all micro switches and all ok. checked water valve and is ok.
Now what?
i have a roper side by side model RS25AGXNQO1. Ice maker isn't working it gets water to the filter then back to the pump i guess but no water to where it goes into the icemaker at back of fridge.
