Howdy, I guess you're talkin' about a : Sony PFM-500A2W Plasma screen ?? The fault-codes your talkin'about " 12/22 " + continue re-starting " is a common problem with those plasma screens. It gives an " low power " message on the PDP module . We started today a discussion-group at google.com to get a clear picture at the Sony. We allso placed a " fault-code " list , so users can see what those codes are standing for. The main target of the discussion-group is ..... sharing knowlegde and information about the Sony PFM-500A2W. Schematics Problem solving fault finding Where to get any kind of parts. Print layouts etc. etc. The followin' link shows the discussion group. Please give us some time to startup the group. So don't give up any hope ;-) http://groups.google.com/group/SONY_PFM-500A2W Best regards , EuroNet 2000 The Netherlands

Pioneer PRO-FHD1 Plasma Monitor Start-Up Problem.

Based on the symptoms described, it seems that the issue with the Panasonic plasma monitor is related to failing capacitors on the Power Supply Module. The fact that heating the board with a hair dryer temporarily fixes the issue confirms this hypothesis. It's recommended to replace all the capacitors that show signs of failure or have a bulged appearance, as well as any other faulty components on the board. It's also a good idea to have an experienced technician diagnose and repair the issue to ensure proper and safe handling of the components.

The Dell AS 501 monitor display comes and goes off in seconds. If I switch off and on again, the display comes back and goes off again in less than a second. I repeat this as many times the same monitor...

This sounds like the power inverter is failed.. It's what pumps up the power for the light in the monitor.
You could try unplug the sound bar from the back of monitor if you have the sound bar installed. Just a maybe..
To fix the inverter (replace) is usually better to buy newmonitor unless you do it your self.
The defective LCD Backlight inverter will cause the following symptoms:
  • No Display, but Power Indicate light stay on green (Or Blue).
  • Screen flash on and off and the power indicate light stays on green (or Blue).
  • Dim Display

Starts to power on,then shuts down

Have you checked the filters? I have a Sanyo PLV-75 and had a similar problem.  The normal fan would come on when the unit was first started, then after a few seconds the secondary fan came on and then the unit would shut down.  Called tech support and they asked if I had cleaned the filters. I did it, and it worked great.  Check the manual for where the filters are and hit them first before getting a new bulb.  Hope it helps!

Dell E173FP - After sometime the screen switches off

Sorry not a solution - but I have started experiencing the exact same problem over the last month although sometimes, on switching on again, it will run for 10-15 minutes before the problem re-emerges. Initially I put it down to the v. hot weather in July but it still continues. So I would also appreciate any solutions!
