Vertical lines on my Hitachi CP-S225 projector

Usually one vertical line on the image happens because the horizontal sync does not sync at the start of the image.

This could be radio interference with radio signal generators: radios, phones, etc.

If you have a radio, a PC, a phone turned on, a radio emitter, these can cause the vertical lines on the Hitachi Projector image.

the LCD is not work well
you can do follow these:
1,reconnect the LCD cable (It is connected to the motherboard and LCD screen)
2,if the vertical line is still there,it means that the LCD is bad ,you need a new LCD

What did they say the driver was needed for. Aren't you just using the vga output of the PC to feed the video signal to the projector. No driver is needed for this

More than likely a failed LCD panel, not lamp.

It does sound like this is an alignment problem of the blue LCD or a problem on the main board controlling it. I am not sure if this is a field adjustable unit. A call to the authorized service center should provide that answer.

clean the filter of your unit by pulling it fromt he unit...then after cleaning it...reset the filter counter fromt he menu settings and turn off your unit for about 5 min and there you go turn on your unit

I have the same Hitachi CP-S860 and have found the problem is with the convergence on the left and right sides of the picture. The one I am working on has a bad ghosting problem also - you can really see the ghosting when the MENU is on the screen. The center convergence is OK. Following Pics show Circle / Cross pattern - 1st pic the red, green and blue are turned on - 2nd pic shows green and blue on only. I do not have the service manual for this set so I do not know the convergence procedure on this one. I have mostly been repairing NEC, Sanyo, Panasonic and Christie LCD & DLP Projectors.

This is a LCD projector, one of your LCD Panels is blown, This is a $400 repair.
