Breaking Ribbon Hello This is Althaf frm Iraq Iam Having Fargo DTC525 id card printer But Know its Breaking Ribbon Continuesly So i cant able 2 print any card so how can i slove this poblem & there is no Technical support in iraq so how can slove this problem is there any setting in printer setup ..can u plz help me & I need online support also...     Hi ,

    The problem with my fargo DTC 525 is:-

    The Printing is not proper quality.There are patches on printed images.

    m ribbon for my dtc 525 breaks firstly on the yellow ribbon, i cleaned the ribbon know it breaks on the blue. How can i fix this problem

    Everytime I print a card, the only coulour that is not aligned is yellow. I use a Fargo HDP5000. Pls assist..?!

Ribbon breaking continuously is caused by 2 common problems. 1. The printhead is going down before OR after the card has passed through. You would know this when you open your cover, and unlock you printhead, is the break before or after the card? Try printing the test page from the driver. That doesn't print "Edge to Edge" so if this is the problem, it should not break. 2. The print head heat settings are too high. If this is so, you can change this on the printers menu panel. I can explain more information, once I know your problem.

You can either change the image darkness level on the printer or through the printer drivers.

on the 525 control panel, you can go to the setup menu, and search through it until you see image darkness, select it, and change the values, go up or down by 10 points at a time.

in the printer drivers, go to printing preferences, and there is a tab that
will have image darkness in it.

Printer restarts itself after putting it on

We would recommend to try to update the firmware for this printer from the Fargo website - www.fargo.com. Update the print driver to the most current version from this site as well. Run a test card from the LCD panel if the printer starts after your updates. If successful, run a test card from the print driver on the computer.

If this does not work, there may be major issues. Contact Fargo Technical Support at 800-459-5636.

Print quality with Fargo DTC500 printer

You might go to the print driver settings to change the way the printer prints the card. This can be found in the printing preferences. Go to the device options tab and choose "rotate front 180 degrees". Then print a card. This may fix the problem.

If not, try downloading the latest print driver from www.fargo.com.

Problem on card print using Fargo DTC525 Single Side Print model

you can check with fargo, or perhaps your vendor is giving you the bad rep, since they refuse to help you. i would not do business with them again.

if the printer worked before maybe the program needs to be reinstalled.

Breaking since I change printhead

Hi, i think you must to adjust tension of ribbon.Go to menu and find adjustmento for tension,and try to adjust to "-" or "+" value, in small increaments.Print card and if no results,try again.
