Ok here is the thing. my printer use to print really good but the other day i tried to print and now it starts to print then the paper falls kinda to one side and then paper jams. i have looked to make sure nothing is catching it and there isn't. how can i fix this.
Try cleaning the rubber rollers for the paper pick up, there may be some paper fibers on them, and they are not grabbing the paper properly. Use a damp lint free cloth and whipe them, or rubber roller cleaner.

Hello there: what you are going to have to do is to pull the ink cartridges out and clean the area that they sit in with a lint free cloth or two may take several using some rubbinbg alcohol and get all of the ink cleaned up in that area and also clean the cartridges really good and than let dry than reinstall the cartridges and make sure that they are fully inserted in place ok than run several nozzel cleaning operations and than some test pages and see if they get printed ok best regards michael (UNITED STATES NAVY RETIRED)
UAC issue: If you are using Windows Vista or
Windows 7, a feature called User Access Control (UAC) would block the
printer communication. Disable it, and it should work. Use the link http://www.petri.co.il/disable_uac_in_windows_vista.htm for tips on how to disable UAC.
Print Spooler Service Error: Either the service

Firewall Issue: Maybe your firewall is blocking
the connection to your printer. Try allowing access to all applications
related to Dell or printer or communication systems under Program
Permissions in your Firewall program.
go to page 56 of the manual(http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/924/en/om_en/om_en.pdfif you don't have it) the issue is about half way down the page. good luck!
I have a Dell 924 and the SAME thing is happening to me! it is probably because something called the cartridge band has disconnected. it is actually a thin small clear band that connects to either side of the inside of the printer to guide the cartridge. Unfortunatly, if you don't still have a warrenty with Dell to get it fixed or replaced, you might have to buy a new one or fix it yourself. :(
