My Frigidaire GLTR1670A stops when it gets to rinse???
My washer can start a cycle and fill the tank, but when it reaches the rinse stage, it stops and doesn't do anything. I can turn it manually and then it resumes past the rinse cycle, but when it reaches the rinse cycle again it stops. Does this seem like something fixable?

One word WOW! This was the best! My Frigeadare washer would get to the rinse cycle then not drain, but would start to buzz (the pump going but no water draining). I followed these instructions, especially getting to the pump from the front, and got to the pump. I removed the pump, by unscrewing the two screws, removed the hoses, and it came off with ease. I found a bobby pin that was preventing the pump from spinning. Placed everything back in place and 45 minutes later, everything was working as normal. Thanks-a-million!

Mchacon, start with the pump. Remove the lower panel and the pump will be on the right. Grab a pan and some towels and remove the hoses going to it. Clean out any coins, lent and whatever from the drain hose trap. Check the pumps impeller for lint, pins etc. This model has a pressure switch that will not advance the timer if it detects water in the tub. Also both fill valves must be on. You will not be able to see it under the basket. This picture is from another cat that had the same problem....Catriver..post back.

Based off the information you have provided I see that your Frigidaire washer will fill with cool water but not during the rinse cycle. A few possibilities that you could be seeing an issue with a faulty pressure switch or water valve. I would suggest seeking assistance from a professional for proper diagnosis and repair to avoid any unnecessary part purchases. Hopefully this is helpful. -Matt
Hello there: If your cycle does not complete or The cycle doesn't advanceWhen the cycle should advance, it's probably the timer or a cold-water supply problem:It's
the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins
agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin
cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer. It
may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with
water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse
water. than check the cold water supply line and the filter
If the unit works when it is on the floor I would suspect three problems.
First make sure the unit is level using a bubble level checking left to right and front to back.
Second make sure the unit is securely on the dryer so when it spins it will not become unbalanced. You should see the washer spin slowly increase in speed and starting to violently shake then slow down again never achieving top speed if this is a problem.
The last possibility is to move the drain hose so it has a loop in it.Use a string, rope or hook it over something to hold the hose up so it will be at the height of the middle of the drum or higher and goes back down into the drain. Washers use a combination of a pump and capillary action to drain. This will also stop water seeping out of the hose when the drum is full allowing it to fill to full capacity.
Most washing machines have built in diagnostics in the controls. If a problem is discovered, the program will stall or stick. Most likely cause is on the fill or empty. So check the filter on the drain and that the water is getting fast enough.
Please be carful as running the agitator without enough water will overheat and kick out the motor, however it should be ok when it resets itself.
Yes, the machine should stop agitating when you lift the lid so this too is part of the problem.
After looking at the print I can only suggest that the cam contacts in the timer ( contacts 12 and 14) that start the motor are burned and stuck together.

It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water. See There's no cold water.
How long is the gentle cycle?. I prefer to make my own delicate cycle. I let the machine fill, agitate about 1 min. then turn off and let soak about 15 - 20 min. Make the machine pump out and start spin very briefly. stop machine. let fill up again and repeat to rinse. Don't let agitate for more than 3 or 4 min total wash and rinse don't let spin completely.
