The left hinge on the scanner cover (ADF sits on top) will not seat properly, causing ADF to jam. Happy to buy new hinge(s), but can't find source. Or, fixing this one would be great.
Go to this link on You Tube and watch the revised video. It will correct the problem for you.
Perfect solution
Genius!! I have been so frustrated with this and after watching your video, it took me seconds to fix the problem. Thank you for posting this video

Go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KdSLerQZBrU to follow this guy's solution of removing bottom hinge. I removed just the TOP hinge and VOILA! the adf is working like a charm. NO NEED TO BUY replacement hinge. Problem is indeed the seating which is solved once you remove either part of the hinge.
How was I able to purchase a print head from Lexmark, if they do not sell any parts?
Then why make a two hundred dollar printer with such a piece of junk hinge? This is an obvious desin flaw since the spring loaded cover bounces up and breaks the cheap plastic hinge, what option does a consumer have when this happens after the warranty? these should not be disposable printers, I dont belive that I will never buy another lexmark product again
