Britax Roundabout car seat thigh strap adjustments

My daughter is about 17lbs and 5 months old, I have the Britax Roundabout car seat. When she has her snow suit on, the straps around her thighs are so tight! It is suppose to go to 3-4 years old, and I try my best to make all the adjustments, but it looks like that is how far it goes, and she is only 5 months old! I dont want it to be tight, she isnt a chubby baby, how do I adjust this far? I dont want to return it!

Carseats werent made for all the extra stuff we have to put on our kids. So will have to take your little one in and out of the snow siut in the car. I have an auto start button on my keys so I can warm the car before we go out there, so I can take my little one out of his warm wear in the car. Its just a headache putting them back in it once you get to your destination.

My daughter seems to be very uncomfortable when in our Britax Marathon convertible car seat. She cries everywhere we go and tenses up her body and seems to be in pain. We can't figure out what is...

Well the first thing to ask is.....is the seat new, if so did she do this in previous seats. If the issue is new and the seat is one she did not have issues with before you can try to remove the cover to be sure nothing is poking her. Also if the straps are too snug around the thighs it will make for a rough ride for the child. If all else fails return it to the store and dont be afraid to bring her along to "Test" a different seat prior to buying it!

Car seat adjustment for britax eclipse

Tilt seat back and slacken straps fully. Follow each shoulder strap through back of seat and down towards lower back of seat. There you will find (maybe hiding under a plastic cover) a metal bracket that retains the straps. You can slide the straps out of this, pull out and thread back through at a higher point.

The actual tension adjust ment is usually a metal clip that you push or pull which is located in the centre/ front are of the seat, or front/centre, underneath where the child's feet hang.

Help with install

Go here to download a copy of the manual.
The straps that are in the area where you'd thread the seatbelt to install are for LATCH installation if you have LATCH anchors in your car - but you can only use seatbelt OR LATCH to install, never both. The strap at the top, with the same hook, is the top tether.
Instructions for using both are in that copy of the manual - the installation instructions for the Regent vary depending on your child's weight, so read it carefully.

Can't Install

You definately should get the rear tether connector to get this car seat in snug. It is the best way and designed to be used rear facing withthe Roundabout. Click the link (or cut and paste into your browser) below to see what I am referring to. When you get it you should connect it to the passenger seat belt track as that is connected to the frame of the car.
