SOURCE: Cannot set Cable Default Channel

I believe you are getting mixed up between channels and programs. Normally program 00 is used for VHS as it has slightly different parameters for colour and brightness. If the TV has about 39 or more programs which can be programmed in from the on screen menu, try using program 20 for the video and 30 for the cable. For this to work you must do the on screen frequency scanning from channels 22 to 69 (UK) and select VCR, CATV, VHF, UHF, etc. I have used program 00 and 20 for two VHS recorders, working on channel 33 and 35 for example, but you must tune them to 33 and 35 on the `Tune' screwdriver hole by the aerial input sockets of the recorders. I expect if your cable unit plugs into your aerial socket of the TV that it has an adjustment for what channel it is on. The TV on screen menu may be different in some countries, so it would help if I knew where you are.

SOURCE: My universal remote went out and somehow the tv-a

Look in the owner's manual for instructions on having the TV scan channels. Make sure the converter is on before starting the scan. If that doesn't work, you'll have to buy or borrow a universal remote to take care of it (enter 3, 03 or 003 on the remote control). This will happen every time you remove power to the set, whether it is unplugged or you have a power failure, so start saving up for a new remote control.

SOURCE: How do we scan/program in

Okay, does this tv have a built in DIGITAL tuner? Most tv's only have an analog tuner. You can tell the difference while you are changing the channels. If the channel indicates 2.1 or 2.2 and so forth, it is on a digital channel mode. If you change the channel and it indicated 2, 3, 4, etc. it is analog. If it has digital capability change the input until you see 2.1, 3.4 etc. If you cycle through all the inputs on the tv like, input 1 (TV) input 2(DVD) input 3(HDMI) and so forth and you never see the digital channel you most likely do not have a digital tuner. You will need to purchase a digital converter which will convert it to analog and you can watch it by placing you tv on analog channel 3 just like the old vcr's. Hope this helps and please don't forget to rate this solution.

How do I connect my Hisense remote control to my Sansui tv

You can't, they are two different makes and the remotes are single channel for the set that came with it. Buy a new Sansui remote. My published article explains.

Connecting a sansui 13 inch to a converter box

1) Connect the converter box to a good digital TV antenna and position the antenna as high and as close to a window as possible.
2) Set the converter box 'output switch' to an unused channel for your area. (Usually 2, 3 or 4.)
3) Connect the output of the converter box to the 'antenna input' on the TV.
4) Turn on both units and set the TV channel to the same output channel selected above.
5) Now select TV channels using the converter box remote only. The TV should receive all converted channels on the preselected channel.
6) Adjust the TV antenna for the best reception for all channels.

My TV picture is not coming in and neither is all my channels.

Perhaps you have the TV set to receive analogue TV rather than digital (DBV). Consult the manual about receiving a digital signal.

I am trying to get the aux outlets to work on the tv how do i do that?the universal remote i have is not putting the tv on that channel and i have the red white and yellow jacks installed in fron of the tv...

Try using the channel buttons on the front of the tv to go below channel 1. If this doesn't work you will need the original remote or you could try a different universal remote. You can use an RF modulator, available at walmart or radio shack, to feed the signal through the antenna jack on the back of the set.
I hope this will help you.

My audio adjustment only goes to 50 -- is there a way to increase the selection of volume above that number? Seems very low on some of the cable channels

Hello
Your TV has volume locked. If you have its manual with you there will be descripton about how to unlock the volue lock function. I can't describe about it here, because different Sansui Tvs have different methods. You just go through its manual. Ok. One models' method will not fuction on an other.
