Drivers for c772tu with windows xp installed

The following information is for the Compaq Presario C772TU Notebook PC

Which version of Windows are you using? (Vista or XP)

The Compaq/Hp web site does not list drivers for XP or Windows 2000

I was able to find the Intel posted drivers

you can install Windows Vista driver. it is comparable with Windows Xp.

Please make sure to follow the steps to the audio drivers exactly as you need to make sure you have the Microsoft Universal Audio Architecture Bus Driver for High Def Audio installed before you install the other audio driver.

I've read that this is time consuming but it works..good luck!

PLEASE NOTE:
u may find that the Audio Driver link in the above post is not installing, giving some error...

Dont worry.. install UAA first and then download the fully working audio driver from

you may have other bottleneck... maybe the XP you're using doesn't utilizes the multi core in your computer or maybe office 2007 is not enjoying your ram size? these are just few factors that can affect your system performance.
