Hello,

Here is the step by step right from the user manual. also here is a direct link to the manual.

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01527492.pdf

Let me know how it works out for you.

Print on both sides of the page
You can print two-sided pages with the HP All-in-One manually. When printing two-sided
pages, make sure to use paper that is thick enough so that images do not show through
to the other side.
To print on both sides of the page
1.
Load paper into the input tray.
2. On the File menu in your software application, click Print.
3. Make sure the product is the selected printer.
4. Click the button that opens the Properties dialog box.
Depending on your software application, this button might be called Properties,
Options, Printer Setup, Printer, or Preferences.
5. Click the Features tab.
6. In the Paper saving options area, select Manual from the Two-sided printing dropdown
list.

7.
For binding, do one of the following:
• For binding on the top like a notebook or calendar, select the Flip Pages Up check
box.
This causes the odd and even pages of your document to print opposite of each
other top-to-bottom. This ensures that the top of the page is always at the top of
the sheet when you flip the pages up in your bound document.
• For binding on the side like a book or magazine, click to clear the Flip Pages
Up
check box.
This causes the odd and even pages of your document to print opposite of each
other left-to-right. This ensures that the top of the page is always at the top of the
sheet when you turn the pages in your bound document.
3 5 1
8. Click OK, and then click Print or OK in the Print dialog box.
The product begins printing. Wait until all the odd-numbered pages are printed before
removing any of the printed pages from the output tray.
A dialog box displays instructions on the screen when it is time to process the second
side of your job.
9. Click Continue when done.

After setting up my C6380 for two sided printing it will not do side two.

You are ticking the box for 'Print Both Sides' aren't you?
I find it quicker to print Even sides only,
then reload the paper (same order as it comes out printed Even sides) and tell it print Odd sides only
Try that.

How do you print double sided on the HP4015x printer?

Hello, The preferred method is to select Double Sided (duplex) printing, is from the print driver.
From a standard windows enviroment.
To perform the following task, open the printer driver and click the "Finishing" tab.
Click "Print on both sides". If you will be binding the document along the top edge, then select "Flip Pages UP" Another way is to setup the printer from the control panel. Press the "menu" button on the control panel - navigate down to the "configure Device" sub menu, navigate down to the "duplex" option On/Off. The link below will take you to the opeators guide manual.

Printer prints more copies than indicated. Driver reinstalled multiple times. Problem is not that is follows previous print number.

The printer has performed correctly for two days now - first consecutive days since purchase 6 months ago. I did not do or change anything - have no idea why it is printing the correct number of copies now. I am not confident that this will be longlasting, however.

Printer prints more copies than indicated. Driver reinstalled multiple times.

I don't know if this will help but I have had similar problems. I would notice that one or two particular programs would print more than one copy and others were just fine. Try checking the preferences on the actual programs. Some programs retain their last qty request and don't change unless you change it. For instance, you request a program to give you two copies of a particular document and everything works fine. Then a day later you are in the same program and need only one copy of a document and you get two instead. This is because there is something set in the program or the preferences of your printing device that causes it to retain the last requested quantity for printing. Next time you print check the print dialog box and see how many copies it is showing will be printed. Hope this helps.

My printer keeps printing double sided when I need

You will need to change the printer settings in your computer. The duplexing / double sided printing is obviously turned on.
