Plugged Dvd player into wall and it will not come On indicates that power supply board in dvd player is not working/ become defective. If unit is under warranty, call Sony to get replacement or buy new dvd player because spare parts are not available for this model, it is sort of disposable dvd player. Thanks.
Hi, yes it should. Have the AC adaptor tested for DC out, you might need to replace it. Most of these prtable units have a rechargeable battery pack, you might want to have it checked out also, because it might be interfering with the AC option as well.
I have noticed with other devices in the car plugged up to a cigarette lighter, it will work while the car is running and once it is turned off, but once the car is started again, I lose power. Evidentally this is an issue with car electrical systems either resetting or surging so it isn't anything wrong with your dvd player. It would be best if you could unplug the player and let it run on battery just before the car is started and then plug it back it once the car is running. I hope this helps.
the battery is dead. that happened to me and i had 3 choices: 1)buy a new dvd player 2)buy a new recharable battery or 3)keep the portable plugged to the wall while i watch movies. i chose number 3 because i usually just use it at places plugs are available. but yeah, the battery is dead.
