One of my Maytag Skybox buttons will not dispense (The other three are working fine). I push it and it blinks but nothing happens with the dispensing bail inside the unit. I hear a faint click in the back of the machine, but na-da. I have checked that the "Child Lock" button is in the right position. I'm stumped! Help, as you may know Maytag is no longer and I am at a loss as to what to do. Thank you for any help or direction you can provide.
I had the same problem with my SkyBox, I took the unit apart, and when I removed the dispensing unit, there was a four inch block of ice on the back of it, and apparently the weight of the ice pulled some plugs loose on the circuit board on the back of the dispensing unit. I let the unit thaw out overnight, and plugged the remaining plugs back in and it works good as new now. On a side note, when I moved, I noticed that after the machine was unplugged for a day or so, it was leaking water on the floor, so the ice block had been forming for some time.

Since it's only one dispensor unit you should be able to eliminate "common" items and find out what controls just that one dispensor. The faint click may be from a bad relay (relay coil works but doesn't pass voltage on contacts). You will likely have to take the thing apart to check the control board. Here's a diagram of the unit so you can see where everything is at. I'd suspect the control board relay that controls that particular dispensor is bad or a loose wire, etc. http://www.partselect.com/Schematics/Maytag/VM10-1.gif

Thanks for the great help, I will give it a shot.
I have the same problem from time to time, usually I am able to reach in and give a little pressure on the spool as if trying to turn it manually, but not hard, just alittle bit of firm pressure both directions, sometimes I loosen up the cans, after taking a couple out in feeling like too many cans puts too much pressure against the spool that it wont spin, just offering some free advice.
