Mach speed motherboard problem

I am building a computer with a mach speed p4msd-800d2 with pentium D 3.0 ghz dual core. I had the cpu fan installed incorectly and the motherboard powered down as it should, I fixed the cpu fan now the computer turns on but I get no video, no beeps from the motherboard nothing, but the fans running. I tried clearing the cmos, but still nothing should I buy a new cpu or motherboard?

I had the same problem once. I took it to CompUSA to have them diagnose the problem, and they said I fried the motherboard or CPU. The fans turn on just because your power supply is on.

Pentium r dual core cpu e5300

jrbruton is correct. (maching = machine)

Even if your computer is not company built, but home built, or purchased from a third party, you may find drivers for system from the motherboard manufacturers or probably more easily from their website eg, Asus, Gigabyte etc. If your system was built from parts from another machine, you might try identifying the m/b and which machines it was fitted to, as the actual m/b manufacturer might not have any useful information; that is often left to the computer/system builder.
Fortunately, you are probably in the simplest situation of having a new pre-assembled mass manufactured machine (nothing wrong with that)

What type of dual core processor can I use for my dc7600?

The motherboard for the dc7600 has an Intel LGA775 processor socket. However, not all LGA775 processors are compatible with the motherboard. For the small form factor, the following CPUs are supported: Intel Celeron D Processors:
Intel Celeron D 331 Processor (2.66-GHz, 256K L2 cache, 533-MHz FSB) , Intel Celeron D 336 Processor (2.80-GHz, 256K L2 cache, 533-MHz FSB) , Intel Celeron D 346 Processor (3.06-GHz, 256K L2 cache, 533-MHz FSB)
Intel Pentium 4 Processors with HT Technology:
Intel Pentium 4 521 Processor (2.8-GHz, 1-MB L2 cache, 800-MHz FSB) , Intel Pentium 4 524 Processor (3.06-GHz, 1-MB L2 cache, 533-MHz FSB) , Intel Pentium 4 541 Processor (3.2-GHz, 1-MB L2 cache, 800-MHz FSB), Intel Pentium 4 620 Processor (2.8-GHz, 2-MB L2 cache, 800-MHz FSB), Intel Pentium 4 630 Processor (3.0-GHz, 2-MB L2 cache, 800-MHz FSB), Intel Pentium 4 631 Processor (3.0-GHz, 2-MB L2 cache, 800-MHz FSB), Intel Pentium 4 640 Processor (3.2-GHz, 2-MB L2 cache, 800-MHz FSB), Intel Pentium 4 641 Processor (3.2-GHz, 2-MB L2 cache, 800-MHz FSB), Intel Pentium 4 650 Processor (3.4-GHz, 2-MB L2 cache, 800-MHz FSB), Intel Pentium 4 651 Processor (3.4-GHz, 2-MB L2 cache, 800-MHz FSB), Intel Pentium 4 661 Processor (3.6-GHz, 2-MB L2 cache, 800-MHz FSB) or
Intel Pentium D Dual Core Processors:
Intel Pentium D 805 Dual Core Processor (2.66-GHz, 2x1MB L2 cache, 533-MHz FSB), Intel Pentium D 820 Dual Core Processor (2.8-GHz, 2x1MB L2 cache, 800-MHz FSB), Intel Pentium D 915 Dual Core Processor (2.8-GHz, 2x2MB L2 cache, 800-MHz FSB), Intel Pentium D 925 Dual Core Processor (3.0-GHz, 2x2MB L2 cache, 800-MHz FSB), Intel Pentium D 930 Dual Core Processor (3.0-GHz, 2x2MB L2 cache, 800-MHz FSB), Intel Pentium D 940 Dual Core Processor (3.2-GHz, 2x2MB L2 cache, 800-MHz FSB), Intel Pentium D 945 Dual Core Processor (3.4-GHz, 2x2MB L2 cache, 800-MHz FSB), Intel Pentium D 950 Dual Core Processor (3.4-GHz, 2x2MB L2 cache, 800 MHz FSB)

Unfortunately, these are old processors and I don't see any available new. Newegg.com lists a couple available as refurbished. You may be better off getting a new computer with either a Intel I3 or current AMD processor.

I wish that I had better news for you.

(do not attempt to use a CPU that your motherboard doesn't support. It probably won't boot.)

Does a core duo processor fit into a P4MBMS

Hi, you can download a manual here:

http://mach-speed.net/support/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=197&Itemid=44

CPU Support: Fully Support Intel LGA 775 Pentium 4 CPU Up to 3.6Ghz

There could be a bios issue when supporting a dual core cpu.
You should read the manual carefully before you continue.

Good luck.

CONFUSION WITH INTEL CORE DUO AND INTEL PENTIUM DUAL CORE!

You are worrying about nothing.

Intel Pentium Dual Core and Intel Celeron Dual Core are both Intel Core Dual processors.

The performance rate is mesured compared to a single core processor so your 2.2GHz dual core will do the same amount of work as a 4.95GHz single core.

Uppgrade to a faster processor?

Hi
Pentuim D is a processor that has 2 x cpu in one and a core 2 duo has 2 cpu's plus 1 smart core bigger cache
you can only upgrade to a E2140 or E2180 processor on that motherboard
OR replace the board with a newer type

If you want to work the actual speed for the processor of a dual core take the speed for example dual core 1.8 x 2.1 =3.78 GHz
Core 2 Duo  1.8 x 2.4 = 4.32 GHz

Difference b/w Core to duo and daul core

Core 2 Duo is a Brand name by intel to identify his class of Dual core CPU

a Dual core CPU is basically two CPU in one package, which dramatically improves performance over previous architectures.

Pentium Dual Core is another brand name by Intel to identify his new entry level CPU offer.Basically Pentium dual-core are similar to Core 2 Duos except they(pentiums) are slower and cheaper.
they both are dual core CPUs.
I would prefer a core 2 Duo having to choose a laptop because of better performance, but the prize is different for the two solutions.
